Lover girl

This one’s going to be short…
In a cab right now, on my way back home. Couldn’t help but succumb to the urge to write. Mumbai’s weather has my heart right now! It’s in moments like this that I crave to be loved the most.
As I was walking in the rain towards Farmers’ in Bandra, the deep deep deep desire to hold someone’s hand, be curled in their arms, both of us partially drenched, was at its peak.
A usual misandrist, but rains turn me into an absolute lover girl. I don’t know if it’s the influence of Hindi movies that make Indians romanticise rains, but it truly triggers something so calming and loving in me that I can’t help but manifest someone to love, to take long walks with, to listen to “In Dino” and have coffee.
As iconic as Bombay rains are, I vividly remember feeling quite similar in London too, especially during summer. I’d walk around Kingston wishing and hoping to have the love of my life next to me.
What does one do when they’re so full of love but no one at the receiving end? Well, go to sleep, I guess 😂 Or atleast that’s what I’ve been doing lately — avoiding the yearning to be loved by dozing off!!
Excellently written. Very heartfelt. You’re a brilliant writer 👏🏻 Good work!
